4. Adding Well Details

You want to add well details for reporting. You must add a well prior to adding Place of Use (POU) details.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your GEARS account.
To navigate to your dashboard, click on your name in the upper top portion of the pane.
  2. If you are an Agent, select Manage Extractors > Manage action next to the applicable name. If you are a Reporter, select Manage Well(s) and Place(s) of Use.
A Geospatial map, an existing well list (if applicable), and an Add Well option displays.
  3. Select Add Well.
Two methods are provided to plot a new well; by map selection or entry of Lat/Long coordinates.
  4. If applicable, plot well by entry of documented Lat/Long coordinates, enter the recorded Lat/Long in the data fields, select Plot Your Well and move on to Step 6.
If the well is plotted outside of an SWRCB managed area, a message appears for your consideration.
  5. If plotting by map selection, zoom into desired well plot site, select location on the map, select Plot Your Well and confirm well location and move on to Step 6.
