8. Filing an Extraction Report

You want to save or submit an extraction report.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your GEARS account.
    To navigate to your dashboard, click on your name in the upper top portion of the pane.
  2. If you are an Agent, select Manage Extractors > Manage action next to the applicable name. If you are a Reporter, select File Extraction Report.
    A User Information Statement appears.
  3. If adding a new report, select +Create New Extraction Report. Select I Understand, after you've read the statement.
  4. Read the reporting instructions and select the Water Year for which you wish to report.
  5. Select the Well from the Geospatial map or from the existing well list and select Next.
  6. Select the Month in which you became responsible for the well.
  7. Enter an Extraction Volume Measurement Method:
  8. Enter the total water produced (acres-feet) for each month supplied and comments.
  9. Select Save and Continue.
  10. Review the Summarized Report and scroll to the bottom.
  11. If applicable, enter an email address to send a copy of the report to someone.
  12. Select Submit Report.
  13. After reading the Penalty of Perjury dialog, enter your first and last name in the Electronic Signature box.
  14. Select Submit Report to file your report electronically with the State Water Board Agency, a copy is automatically emailed to you.
    If there are additional parcels identified as being associated to you, you will see a parcel APN with a question asking if there is a well on that parcel.
